The City Hall Library (formerly known as the "Administrative Library of the City of Paris") is a public patrimonial library of the library network of the Paris City Hall. The library specializes in social sciences, law, contemporary history and Parisian documentation, thus constituting a very important place of research on the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The reading room, designed by the architect Édouard Deperthes, offers one of the best examples library architecture of the late 19th century.
