Solang Valley Ropeway & Ski Centre – Manali, Himachal Pradesh

To make snowy peaks of Himachal Pradesh more easily accessible to tourists, a multi-million ropeway-cum-ski project at the picturesque Solang Valley near Manali was inaugurated. It was the first such project in the state to promote skiing. Set up with an investment of Rs.36 crore, the project was a joint initiative between the state tourism department and a private company Ski Himalayas Ropeway Pvt Ltd.
