Stift Wilten – Innsbruck, Austria

Stift Wilten is a church in the city of Innsbruck, Austroa. Under Abbot Dominic Loehr (1651 - 1687), there was the groundbreaking ceremony of the baroque church building. Under his Vorgängerabt Andreas Mayr, the tower fell on the flimsy pretext of searching for the remains of the legendary giant Haymon, nor on the Gothic abbey church and destroyed it completely. The actual consecration of the church and the altar took place on 18 October 1665 the Prince-Bishop of Brixen Sigmund Alfons Graf Thun. Emperor Leopold I was there in person.
