War Memorial – Blackpool, England

The Blackpool war memorial is a war memorial located on the Central Promenade in Blackpool, Lancashire, England. It is a Grade II Listed granite obelisk on three-stepped plinth erected on Prices Parade, alongside North Pier and set of square steps located on the seafront. Each side of the plinth has large bronze reliefs depicting allegories of Victory, Grief and Justice. There are also four smaller reliefs of servicemen. Alongside the main obelisk are two free-standing chest tombs with covers of cast bronze listing the names of the fallen. The obelisk was constructed in 1923, designed by J.C. Prestwich, the panels…
